Poor Service!

Usually I love Starbucks – the atmosphere is good and the coffee and hot chocolates are tasty. I had a really bad experience yesterday with them though, and I thought I’d write about it. Most of the time, they are really quick at getting your drink and there are now issues with it once it arrives. This time, unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

To start with, I got there and there was a small queue, which is normal. The person serving didn’t seem to know what they were doing though so I ended up waiting for 15 minutes just to give him my order. At this stage I wasn’t too bothered, sometimes they get really busy in there. I then waited ten minutes to get my drink, so what was meant to be a quick coffee was turning into a long trip. Once the drink I arrived, I sat down, took a sip and realised it was stone cold! I’ve never had that before so it was a bit of a shock.

Needless to say, I took it straight back to the people behind the desk and ask for a new one. They were very apologetic (and gave me a card for a free drink). There was no queue at this point so I thought “great, at least I’ll get quick drink now”. I was wrong.  It took another ten minutes just to get a single hot chocolate, and when it arrived it was in a takeaway cup because they didn’t have any cups left. Considering that Starbucks isn’t the cheapest place to get a coffee, I wasn’t very impressed with the service!
